Why Recruiters Wait to Tell You the Company Name

Many candidates are familiar with the
process of a recruiter reaching out about an opportunity. The phone rings and it may be a recruiter you have worked with before or this might be a new connection. It may even be an InMail message to your LinkedIn page. When a recruiter reaches out, it is likely that they have an opportunity in mind for you. However, usually, they will not tell you the name of the company from the get-go. While this could be frustrating or feel like a waste of time, this is on purpose and it is for a good reason.
Chemical recruiters are going to have many connections in the industry. That is with candidates of all levels as well as hiring managers.
